Yin, Pin and Sound: a journey into deep rest

  • Open Sky Wellbeing 63 Stuart Street Mullumbimby, NSW, 2482 Australia (map)

An evening with Cornelia and Steven Allan Booth at Open Sky Wellbeing. Two hours of supported stillness, built in three layers.

Yin yoga shapes, held long enough that the body stops arranging itself and starts settling. A minimal acupuncture sequence, two points only, which is entirely optional and can be skipped without losing the thread of the evening. And immersive sound running underneath all of it.

The two points are Yintang, between the brows, and Liver 3, on the foot. The evening is built around the Wood phase, which in Chinese medicine belongs to spring, the time when Qi begins to rise and move after winter’s stillness.

In their words: through supported Yin shapes, stillness, a simple acupuncture sequence and immersive sound, we explore how space can make movement possible, without needing to push, perform or arrive anywhere in particular.

No experience needed, with yoga or with needles. Mats and bolsters are provided. Wear something warm and comfortable, and bring water, plus a blanket or eye pillow if you like one.

Saturday 10 October 2026, 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Open Sky Wellbeing, first floor, 63 Stuart Street, Mullumbimby. Early bird $66 until 1 October, then $77. Open Sky members take 10 per cent off. Bookings through Open Sky.
